Where We Live: the Ecology of Place

Where We Live: The Ecology of Place is a collaborative community eco-art
project that both honors and raises awareness about Washtenaw County’s
extraordinary ecosystems. In a unique partnership between the Ann Arbor Street
Art Fair, Washtenaw Land Trust, and local environmental artist Leslie Sobel,
aerial photos and maps of Washtenaw County will be collaged with photos,
drawings and stories about the land contributed by the public. Assembly of the
piece will take place on July 14th, at the 4th Ever Townie Street Party, the
kick-off party to the Ann Arbor Art Fairs brought to you by the Street Art
Fair. Everyone is encouraged to help breathe life into this exciting project.

Creative Connections

Sponsored by the Ann Arbor Arts Alliance, Creative Connections will make usable art pieces out of your trash and recyclables.  Bring in all your "junk" that's smaller than a shoebox and watch it turn into a creative masterpiece!

2nd Ever Juried Kids' Art Fair:
Today's Kids... Tomorrow's Artists

In cooperation with Toyota and the Ann Arbor District Library, the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair presents the Kids' Art Fair, giving selected young artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork at the Townie Street Party just like other Art Fair artists! The Kids' Art Fair encourages talented young artists grades K-8 to continue to make art and to look towards careers in art, as well as encouraging young people to appreciate, buy and collect art.

Come see Tomorrow's Artists at the 4th Ever Townie Street Party, A Kick-Off to the Ann Arbor Art Fairs!

Browse with neighbors, friends, students, and our youngest townies at the Kids’ Art Fair, taking place throughout the party!  Since we had such a wealth of talented young artists come to the jurying in early June, this year’s Kids’ Art Fair is in two time blocks, separated by age.  Both groups will be exhibiting under the Kids’ Art Fair Tent, located by the fountain.  Support tomorrow’s artists today at the Townie Street Party!
